Track Name: To Zion
bakol makom she'ani holech
ani holech le'yerushalayim
bakol makom she'ani holech
ani holech le'tzion

its been a good ride
but we far from done
a steep climb
some cheap wine
to greet the stars and sun
the wars been won
without collateral damage
can you beleive it
not one bullet coffin
bomb or bandage
no tanks or shanks
just praise and thanks
we had to break ranks
with the hateful snakes
there more at steak
than whats on your plate
the most high and the human race
are on a blind date
desparately searching for something
anything to feel free
when all i had to do
was let me be the real me
and all those troubles that i blamed on everybody else
were really internal struggles i had to deal with myself
im not sayin that its all in our mind
cause for real we co-creatin with the aid of the divine
i mean for sure we play a role
even got a big part
in the cosmic drama
life
god's greatest work of art
some people see it as a test in a laboratory
every step is mandatory
and so are categories
but thats the saddest story
that i cant relate to
all you mathematics dont equate to one great view
we need a breakthrough
poetry for president
every person has their own potential
that they represent
peace is possible
but only if we first believe
that everything created
is b'tzelem elohim
the last train leavin'
headed for the promised land
ran out of steam
lost track
and got stuck in the sand
and now its up to us
no more hitchin a ride
you can travel without movin
when your goin inside
the waters deep
but the depths cant reach the beach
like the feeling of a thought
seeks release through speech

we're going home... to zion
Track Name: Praying in the Fields
been shattered just like the two tablets
scattered over seven seasons
lost in the madness
overcame challenge to regain my balance
try to stay insane
not waste my talents
gladness
is the outcome
of this practice
when the doubt comes
this glass appears totally empty
despite all the static
i receive from my sensory memory
everythings a blessing
light is the remedy
or
at least thats what the darkness is telling me
in a song with a sound so heavenly
like a wordless melody
straight from the lips of the rebbe
fear and trembling
aimless wandering
tame this part of me
most high mold my
soul like pottery

i talk with the sages
rock the like ages
walk with the nameless
right off the pages
lets rip the mask off the faceless
i wanna kick a rap for all races
that is the basis of my neurosis
god was in this place
and i didn't even notice
god was in this place
and i didn't even notice

the only thing that's real is the light our love reveals
wholeness of a broken heart, things that fall apart
we heal the world from it's despair,
thoughts that break our hearts repair
playing in the open air and praying in the fields

wandering wondering
will i make it home
the way is not a word
when your lost and alone
went to sleep last night
in a circle of stones
wrapped in a cloak
on a bed made of bones
had a vision in a dream
how the elohim flow
rose in a pose
about to unfold
woke up
still dont know which direction to go
so
i follow my soul with my eyes closed
i chose the path that fits my feet
long and winding
with the bridges behind me
intact
standing in the middle of a storm
with a lit match
the impact
of the past
stings like a slap
when you fully realize
you can never go back
its like that
thats why i write rap
so my story stays with me
as i ride on the track

i talk with the sages
rock the like ages
walk with the nameless
right off the pages
lets rip the mask off the faceless
i wanna kick a rap for all races
that is the basis of my neurosis
god was in this place
and i didn't even notice
god was in this place
and i didn't even notice

the only thing that's real is the light our love reveals
wholeness of a broken heart, things that fall apart
we heal the world from it's despair,
thoughts that break our hearts repair
playing in the open air and praying in the fields
Track Name: Darshan featuring Chana Laila - Ghetto Nightingale
GHETTO NIGHTINGALE

she a good girl
come from a good home
good family
but it aint all good though
daddy taught her how to play the piano
and she sang like coltrane on the soprano
sounded like a sunny day live in seattle
she's a sweet songbird-
just another one in six million never heard
her last word was a falsetto
point blank range in the warsaw ghetto

she was the talk of the shtetl
maybe headed for the next level
people came from out of town
just to hear the sound
of her voice had wings
the said she'd set your heart free
like my favorite things
or let it be
but her song was cut short
like a bird in flight
she was ripped from this life
like a sacrifice
until her story gets told
her soul wont settle
its a still small voice
from the warsaw ghetto

most people swear by "never again"
but sometimes you come across "remember when"
and your mind cant help but start to drift
now we continents apart- but still part of the myth
paradigms shift- but G!D still exists
unmoved and unchanged and beyond the name
our brains cant explain what the frames cant contain
my people's history of pain is a mysterious thang
the more the world change
the more we stay the same
theres something beautiful and strange
about the dawning of an age
when war wont be waged
and peace becomes manifest
we'll all realize
that there were no accidents
everything was for a purpose
hidden from our consciousness
waiting to reveal itself like reb kalonymous
Holy Fire purifies the passions of a rebel
and sanctifies the suffering of the warsaw ghetto...
Track Name: Chad Gadya חד גדיא
CHAD GADYA by DARSHAN
(Eden "Eprhyme" Pearlstein and Shir Yaakov)

yo i knew this one kid from back in the day
he stayed around the way — never came out to play
baby face, buried in a book all day
he made me promise that i wouldn't say his secret was to pray
everything was great, until he went on a date
with an infamous feline — fatal mistake
he fell for the bait, wound up face down on her plate
but she won't escape her fate — my dog Jake
came into the picture, not a moment too late
with a chip on his shoulder, broken heart full of hate
he had nothing to offer, all he ever did was take
she told him to wait, and then he smacked her face
but don't worry, the dog don't get away untouched
'cause the story took wings and made peoples blood rush
he caught a beat-down by the arm of the law
a baton to his jaw was the last thing he saw
a neighbor with a cellphone recorded the brawl
and all the people rioted and burned down the mall

before he stepped off the chair, at the end of his rope
that first kid left a quote in a suicide note
it said "do the right thing. be yourself. don't ever give up hope."
this water flows from the words that he wrote
the silence that followed was filled with such sorrow
as we all wondered why we trade today for tomorrow
but there's something beautiful in that moment of reflection
face to face — in the place — infinite introspection
the serenity was shattered by the scream of the sacrifice
pain is the price that we pay for the afterlife
suddenly I grabbed the knife and sang a song I'd never heard
it wasn't in my language, but i understood every word
